![]() I didn't try this, I used a dumber/harder approach where I reloaded the firmware and included a modified config file. Now your first layer will be perfect every time!Įsteps: This is annoying, but apparently (?) the recommended way to set your esteps is using Pronterface and sending the M92, M500 commands (M503 to get current value). So! Preheat first, then auto level, then set your z-height and save it. These effects are small, but even 0.1mm is enough to mess up a print, especially the first layer. Then I preheated the machine, and I could easily watch this gap close completely! I think the hot end elongates a bit as it heats up, and the bed definitely warps, and perhaps expands a bit. Auto level the machine AFTER preheating to the desired bed and hot-end temperature! I set the nozzle about 0.2mm above the bed and with a back-light could see the gap between it and the bed. ![]() (this was never a problem for me on my Creality machines). Leveling: This one really threw me for a loop. I'm now printing successfully with: ABS, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2 layer height, 100mm/s max speed, hot end 240C, bed 105C. I thought my extruder esteps were wrong, but most of my problem was that I was actually trying to print faster than the machine could extrude. ![]() ![]() FLSUN QQ S PRO PROI just jot my FLSUN QQ-S Pro working (pretty) well and wanted to share a few of my learnings.Įxtrusion: It is a fast printer, and it is easy to outrun its extrusion capabilities. ![]()
